Click here to visit our online pharmacy

We are very excited to offer our clients our new online pharmacy option. Through our new Vetsource online pharmacy you can request refills on your pet’s prescriptions and, in some cases, sign up for auto shipment so that you don’t even need to make a phone call! Our team can assist you with getting set up so that your pet’s medications and prescription diets are just a few clicks away.

Not sure if you want to try a prescription product or diet that the veterinarian suggests in your appointment? No problem. Our doctors can place recommended scripts in your patient’s name through our online pharmacy so if you decide you want to try what they’ve recommended the script will be there waiting for you.
We are here to help! If you have questions about our online pharmacy or are interested in getting your pet’s prescriptions through this format with us, please reach out to our office.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is BRVH’s online pharmacy different from other online sites?

The products shipped to your home through our online pharmacy are dispensed under the supervision of Black River Veterinary Hospital’s veterinarians. Our doctors know exactly what your pet is taking and where it is coming from. In addition, our online pharmacy writes that information back in our computer system so we can track your pet’s refills for you.

In addition, because our online pharmacy is an extension of our office, the products maintain their manufacturer guarantees – a benefit that is not always afforded to other online sites.

What is so important about a manufacturer guarantee?

If your pet is taking medications that are not dispensed directly under a veterinarian’s supervision manufacturers cannot guarantee the efficacy or safety of the products. If your pet experiences an adverse reaction or if the product’s efficacy is put into question your pet’s follow up care or treatments can become a financial burden to you. Manufacturer’s guarantees can sometimes assist with the cost of diagnostics and treatments if it is determined that a product has proven ineffective or your pet experiences an adverse reaction. Your pet’s health and safety are our priority; this is why it is so important to purchase your pet’s prescriptions through your veterinarian.
